2021 CANTERBURY STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Good tempo anticipated with Dreamforce and Samadoubt pressing forward, with Savatiano getting the trail just off the speed.
SAVATIANO (8) proved a class above first up and this has always been her Grand Final, kept fresh (28 days) with a soft trial in between. Lacks the class of her stablemate, but looks to get the dream run and should get the jump on BIVOUAC (1) who faces a tricky draw. Was disappointing on face value in the Lightning, but is obviously better than that and do expect him to bounce back in a big way.
MASKED CRUSADER (7) did a good job to win first up, though this is much, much harder. Still you have to trust the stable and he looks to get a lovely run. SAMADOUBT (3) returns off a lengthy break, but still has to be included.
