Solid tempo from Vittoriosa and Nothinsweetaboutme who are both capable of leading. BROOKSPIRE (4) has been very good in all three career starts to date including a Kensington win in December before a short spell. Tuned up for this with a first-up third in town and has won second-up before. Looks a horse on the up.
NOTHINSWEETABOUTME (7) led all the way last start at Goulburn over this journey. Drawn to get a similar run for Clark and has to be respected. PIPPALI (8) loves this track with a win and a second from two starts and is drawn to get a soft run for Taylor. VITTORIOSA (11) hasn't done much wrong in both starts and gets the services of Avdulla. ELIZABEEL (2) has never missed the top five in 10 starts. Have to include.
