2021 DONCASTER MILE – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Samadoubt and Yao Dash to push forward from wide out and set a strong tempo. MUGATOO (1) most recently showed his class when winning the All Star Mile at Moonee Valley on March 13. Third up record is strong and is capable on all ground. Drawn to enjoy a cosy run in transit from barrier 4 under the guidance of Hugh Bowman and warrants plenty of respect.
THINK IT OVER (12) is the weight horse of the race, dropping back to handicap conditions after winning the Group 1 George Ryder at weight-for-age. Should be at his peak fourth run from a spell. AVILIUS (2) is a multiple Group 1 winner who has built towards this with placings in the Chipping Norton Stakes and the George Ryder Stakes. Meets Think It Over 3.5kg worse at the weights for a slender defeat however certainly has the stronger overall C.V.
MO'UNGA (19) has improved with each run this prep, last start winning the Rosehill Guineas. A colt on the up who just needs favours getting back from a wide gate. AEGON (9) perhaps felt the firm track when sixth in the Randwick Guineas. Unbeaten prior to that. Respect.
