Winning Trainer: Chris Waller

On his promising future: "He certainly has. It's been good to see him turn it around today. We always knew he would stay, until he's got up to this distance you haven't been able to see the best from him so it's a sign of good things to come for sure, very bright future."

To the Queensland Derby?: "We'll be heading that way. We even thought South Australian Derby but that comes around a little bit quicker, that's only two weeks away. We had in the back of our minds that it would be one of the two."

On the horse: "He is a lovely type, works with you, does everything right. He won his second start at Moonee Valley and we gave him a bit of a break to get him ready for those, well I thought South Australian Derby, but he showed to me he might be able to go the Queensland path with a bit more time."

Winning Jockey: Hugh Bowman

On the horse: "I certainly had more confidence in him going forward than I did in speaking about him on radio this morning. He gave me a really good feel. He appreciated that tempo. Then when Craig made a bit of a mid-race move, it injected a bit more pressure into the race which worked into his favour. I don't like to get too far ahead of myself and don't like to suggest races for horses too much but this horse has Queensland Derby written all over him on what I felt today."

On his future: "No doubt at all about stepping out over further. Without any overseas contracts coming up I'd like to be able to stick with him going forward. Delighted for Chris and connections. They've been huge supporters of the stable. Had a lot of success in recent years and this horse has put the writing on the wall to be a top level performer in the near future."

After the fall: "I'm OK. Took me 15 minutes to regather myself. But I have some lovely horses coming up and looking forward to it."

Beaten Jockeys:

Brenton Avdulla (Lion's Roar): "He had a lovely run. Just wasn't at his best today but he's still run well and had a really good prep."

Craig Williams (Khoekhoe): "I recommended that they geld him. He did so many things wrong. I know he's a good horse but today was terrible attitude wise."

James McDonald (High Supremacy): "Lovely horse. Just needs to find more, He has more to offer."

Tommy Berry (Achiever): "We almost stole it. He showed a good bit of tenacity. Enjoyed being on his own in front and a wet track will help him more. Maybe a Queensland Derby."

Jason Collett (Real Peace): "Keen in the run. He was just found wanting late."

Tim Clark (Santadeal): "For an inexperienced horse he's done a pretty good job against more seasoned 3yos."

Billy Owen (Call Me Artie): "Just outclassed."
