2021 KINGSFORD-SMITH CUP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Savatoxl, Jonker and Savatiano to match motors but there will be plenty of pressure from other quarters. SAVATIANO (13) has stepped up to the top echelon of sprinters this season. Scored a deserved maiden G1 win in the Canterbury Stakes two back then narrowly missed another when nosed out in the All Aged Stakes last start. Freshened but kept up to the mark with a trial win and has won six from 10 at this distance. Tough to beat.
GYTRASH (2) chased well when resuming with a second in the G1 Goodwood in Adelaide. Has two wins and three placings from five second up attempts and won his only try at the trip. Danger. TREKKING (1) hasn't missed a place third up, winning three of six attempts. He should be ready to show his best up to 1300m.
Hard to knock SAVATOXL (3) who made it back to back stakes wins when beating Gytrash to take out the Goodwood last time. Wouldn't surprise to see a good effort from KEMENTARI (5) third up.
