Homesman to take charge ahead of Quick Thinker at a good tempo. SO YOU WIN (11) has placed in all three starts this time in and put the writing on the wall last time, settling back but running on to get within a head in the G3 Chairman's Trophy at Doomben. Reaching peak fitness fourth up and looks ready to strike.
HOMESMAN (1) is the class runner and will find this easier than his resuming effort in the Hollindale Stakes. Finished last campaign with an Australian Cup win. That form would win this. VANNA GIRL (6) couldn't get into the Hollindale last start but she is unbeaten at this track so could bounce back with blinkers coming off.
THE CANDY MAN (10) is working his way back into form with a close third in the Chairman's last start and has terrific statistics at the course and distance. HANG MAN (4) has strong form and a good distance record. Respect.
