2021 STRADBROKE HANDICAP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Abundant early pace from Apache Chase, Emerald Kingdom and Savatoxl vying for the lead with Master Jamie on their backs. VEGA ONE (11) settled near last but came with a huge burst to win in the G1 Kingsford-Smith Cup at this track over 1300m last start. Will appreciate the big weight drop and the extra 100m so looks hard to hold out.
WILD PLANET (7) is a talent who hit the line hard and got close when resuming with a second in the G1 Doomben 10,000 over 1200m. Further improved and over the extra ground looks a strong winning chance. THE HARROVIAN (12) was just behind them when third in the 10,000 and he too goes well second up so can progress off that.
APACHE CHASE (18) loves the trip winning four of five attempts. Can give a sight while TOFANE (3) is a G1 winner at the distance and nears her peak.
