J-Mac Heads To Wyong For Three Nice Rides (Wednesday)

3 minute read

James McDonald will travel to Wyong on Tuesday for three mounts and should kick off the day with a winner when he rides odds-on favourite Conrad ($1.65 favourite on TAB) in the opening event, The Australian Racing Christian Chaplaincy 2yo Maiden Plate (1200m).

Jockey : James Mcdonald. Picture: Steve Hart

The son of Japanese sire Maurice has only raced once for a close second at Canterbury on February 26. He was held up at the top of the straight and he was strong to the line. Kim Waugh trains the gelding and he has drawn okay.

James Mcdonald will ride the Chris Waller - trained filly Summer Breeze ($4.80) in the third event, the HMA maiden Plate (1350m). She closed off nicely when placed in a recent Rosehill trial. The Waller filly My Girl Ruby ($6.50) is the Kiwi's mount in the 1350m Benchmark 64 Handicap. She was a Kembla Maiden winner in November and she was hard held in a recent trial.
