Expecting Military Expert to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. COASTWATCH (2) was only fair first up before showing good improvement last start when narrowly beaten behind Tiger Of Malay. Did have a big pull in the weights but that piece of form still leaves him well placed and with McDonald back aboard he should prove hard to beat.
MILITARY EXPERT (6) steps up sharply in grade off his maiden win last start but is clearly a nice horse trending the right way and looms as a major threat with Berry aboard. ARNAQUEUR (3) is another progressive type who did a good job to score first up. Harder again but should have more to come while SUBTERRANEAN (1) also has to be kept safe.
