Good early pace to set this up; primarily from Knights Order and Le Don De Vie. Little doubt about who the horse to beat is here. TRALEE ROSE (8) starred over the summer, her Bagot win announcing her as a really promising staying prospect, and her quest towards a spot in the Melbourne Cup has been on track this spring with three terrific efforts.
Now she comes to D-Day. Wants to win here to sure up her place at Flemington. Think she gets it done. DEFIBRILLATE (2) can be hardest for her to hold out. Gets to the bigger track now which looks a big tick for him.
KNIGHTS ORDER (4) should be ready to peak now third up. Blinkers go on and he will press forward. Have to respect HASTA LA WAR (14) who ran really well in the Herbert Power and LE DON DE VIE (6) could be an improver. Just edged out in this race last year.
