Strong pace from Sacramento and Holbien along with Spirit Ridge and Rousseau. Can GRANDSLAM (12) slide across into a handy spot? The speed looks busy but he gets the best jockey in the business for the task at hand. He was no match late in the piece for PONDUS (2) last time but he was 1400m to 2000m there. Top yard have had another month with him since and think they can get the best out of him.
Pondus has since run well again and must be a chance along with SECRET BLAZE (9) who split the pair at Flemington. KING MAGNUS (8) gets a zero in the book but his Doncaster run was much better than that. Worth a try at the longer trip. Stable reach for the blinkers with DEFIBRILLATE (7) who comes through the same two races as Pondus where he has been okay.
