2022 FRANK PACKER PLATE – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Lukey Luke is the likely leader and should be able to get there comfortably. STRAIGHT ARRON (4) couldn't have been more impressive when winning at G3 level last start, handling the heavy conditions to bolt in by 2.8L. He's a progressive horse and with McDonald sticking he looks very hard to beat.
WAR ETERNAL (1) comes back in trip after finishing a long way off in the G1 Australian Derby last start. His run prior was very good, and with the blinkers going on he's set to run a big race. JALMARI (5) finished off well behind the top pick last start and draws for a beautiful run with Berry taking the ride. Will have to lift to turn the tables on Straight Arron, but the Williams yard is firing and he can't be ruled out.
MAURICE'S MEDAD (2) is another who comes through the Derby but will appreciate the more favourable draw. Keep safe. INVERELL (8) brings a different formline through Moonee Valley and can't be discounted.
