2022 NORTHAM STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Mervyn and Indian Pacific to take up the running at a strong tempo. The feature of the day. ELITE STREET (1) is the class of the field and naturally looks well placed, as he does anywhere in Western Australia. He's won first up in the past and the 1100m suits him better than 1000m. He'll enjoy the hot tempo and be hard to hold out late.
INDIAN PACIFIC (5) isn't hopeless. He flies fresh with three wins from five starts and has trialled very well leading in. His best is good enough. COMFORT ME (9) should run well fresh although may find the 1100m against some pure sprinters a touch sharp. LAVERROD (2) is a handy horse who ran fourth in the Winterbottom before a spell, finishing close up behind Elite Street so we know he's good enough.
