During the run: "They were all jostling for positions, it was a bit of a messy race in between us, we were in the three wide no cover line, he fell asleep underneath me, presented at the top of the straight and he kept finding for me. I asked for an effort and he delivered. He's a tough little boy, when a horse came up and challenged him he fought them off."
One win away from outriding claim: "We're getting close, one more city winner to go. It'd be nice to do it today but if not, in a couple of weeks time. It's an honour to be riding here and to outride the claim in the near future."
