BATTLETON (3) has closed well to place in both runs this time in, getting with 1.3L of the winner in the G3 Fred Best Classic at this venue a fortnight ago. The way he hit the line there suggests he is looking for the mile and will be peaking third up.
KISS SUM (1) beat Battleton home in the Fred Best Classic where he ran on strongly to go under by half a length. That was his third successive runner up effort so a win looks imminent. FLYING CRAZY (2) made ground from the tail in the Fred Best and won three of his previous four so is worth another chance.
FINEPOINT (9) is progressive and was impressive in Sydney last start. Won his only third up attempt so can take another step. LOCH EAGLE (4) was another to catch the eye last start. Contender.
