"She ran very good first-up and she's always been a horse, (though) this is the first time I've ridden her, she's always had ability bit can sort of overrace. She's a bit 'giggly' with her head.
"I thought we'd be a little bit closer, I thought we'd settle sixth or seventh but didn't have the speed. I was sort of slapping her along at the 700 or so and then they were scouting out wide and I thought, 'I can't win going out there'.
"So I took the run up and followed the second horse through and was still wide enough but close enough to the crown where it was too wet."
