2022 GRAFTON CUP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Arapaho should be able to comfortably find the front. YOUTH SPIRIT (5) whacked away to get up for fourth when resuming from a long spell and having his first Australian run in the 2000m McKell Cup at Rosehill last time. Was only a length behind Dr Drill that day and obviously has plenty of scope to improve. Won a Group 3 at Chester UK when second up last prep. Makes plenty of appeal.
DR DRILL (2) put the writing on the wall last start when he worked home solidly but couldn't catch Skyman in the McKell Cup. Hasn't won in ages but is proven at this level and will be cherry-ripe at the fourth run back. ARAPAHO (6) found the lead before the corner but couldn't hold out the impressive Le Don De Vie in the 2400m Caloundra Cup 12 days ago. Has been in work for a while but continues to deliver. Big chance on the limit weight.
REBEL RAMA (8) scored a tough all-the-way win in a Listed race at Eagle Farm last start. Honest mare with sound each-way claims. BERDIBEK (1) wasn't beaten far last time in the Ipswich Cup. In the mix.
