The sixth foal of champion racehorse Black Caviar has finished out of the money as an odds-on favourite on debut in a maiden at Moe

I Am Caviar, trained by Peter Moody and ridden by Luke Nolen, who shared in the story of Black Caviar, finished fifth as the $1.28 favourite, in the JP Conveyancing Maiden Plate (1000m), beaten 3.8 lengths.

The three-year-old colt, by I Am Invincible, jumped smartly and sat outside the leader, and winner, Helpmebrutha, but did not appear to handle the Soft 7 ground.

Placed under pressure on straightening, I Am Caviar weakened in the run home.

Of the seven foals the 15-time Group 1 winner Black Caviar has produced, the five that have made it to the track have all been beaten on debut with Oscietra, Prince Of Caviar and Invincible Caviar  going on to win races.

Ready For Caviar was retired after only two starts while Out Of Caviar did not race.

Oscietra, a two-time winner, has already produced an I Am Invincible colt while Black Caviar is due to foal an I Am Invincible colt this year.
