Parisal remains unbeaten this campaign claiming a first stakes win in the Typhoon Tracy Stakes at Moonee Valley.
Godolphin filly Parisal has collected her first stakes race win taking out the Group 3 Typhoon Tracy Stakes at Moonee Valley.
The victory in the 1200m race for three-year-old fillies on Saturday completed a winning hat-trick for the James Cummings-trained galloper.
Ridden by Craig Newitt, Parisal ($4.40) scored by a neck from Wee Nessy ($8) with Lady Laguna ($9.50) a half-head away third.
Godolphin Melbourne foreman Sean Keogh said Parisal had been regarded as a stakes grade filly by the stable, but had been given time to graduate through the grades.
"We felt like she was a filly who could win a Stakes race at some stage through her career and today was the day," Keogh said.
"You've got to get out there and do it against these hardened type of fillies and stepping from a maiden to benchmark grade to where she is has served us really well.
"It's good from the team to send her interstate and win a Group race like this."
Newitt was having his first ride on the filly and said she was a lovely, leggy filly that had been well-educated by the Cummings and Godolphin team.
"She's a lovely filly, she's obviously been well-schooled, and she's got really good gate speed for a big, leggy thing," Newitt said.
"From an inside gate we were always going to be positive, and it worked out.
"Willie Pike's horse (My Bella Mae) got a little bit keen mid-race but she was just so relaxed inside travelling on a long rein and even though she wobbled around the corner a little bit she was really strong through the line."
Newitt said Parisal had a bright future.
"You never know where they end up in this camp, they can go to extreme heights," Newitt said.
"She's lightly- aced, she's got a fair bit of scope and I'm sure she's going to win plenty more races."
