WESTERN EMPIRE (16) is a potential new star for WA racing and he throttled down about 200m out when winning easily first-up since the WA Derby win. Drawn nicely, can be handy, and it will take a good performance from something else, or bad luck, to beat him. KISSONALLFORCHEEKS (10) was taken on in front two starts back then atoned with a gutsy win last week. Drawn ideally and is a clear second pick. NOTORIOUS ONE (12) is racing in great form and was placed behind Western Empire last time. Go well. Next best KAY CEE (9) and VALOUR ROAD (1).

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 5 @ 2:42 PM
MONTEPULCIANO (1) could well benefit from that sort of set up. He got all the way to the South Australian Derby when outclassed. Then he resumed by sitting much closer. The added ground here is perfect. HALIFAX ROAD (10) did a top job on his debut. He came from midfield then. Finds a nicer draw here too. TUBBY TWO TRACKS (2) has been around the money without it showing in the results. She could run a decent race here. SHE'S STYLISH (9) will enjoy the added ground here and has won on this track. BOLT BY (5) can get into the placings once again.
