Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Canterbury, Belmont Park, Balaklava and Sale.

CANTERBURY: RACE 4 @ 2:35 PM

WILD CHAP (2) absolutely stonked them by five lengths over this track and trip last time out and will have good memories from that victory. Goes well for Jones who has two wins and two placings from just four steers and gets the benefit of his 2kg claim again. Will be right there at the business end. The honest FREEDOM SQUARE (3) has only missed the top five once in nine career outings and is one from one over this journey. Looks a key player. KIRKEBY (4) resumes here but was very consistent when last in work and gets the services of McDonald from the inside alley. Has to be included. CAMAGUEY (6) strips fitter third-up and is one for the exotics players. The well-related HOLSTEIN (5) tends to mix his form but can show up if he brings his best.
SELECTIONS: Wild Chap to win.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 8 @ 4:50 PM

RULELEE (10) charged hard to the line last time here over the journey, narrowly missing by a lip. Remains at the trip and leading hoop C Parham stays on. Big chance. FLICKA'S CHANCE (2) failed to threaten when resuming at Ascot in rearward finish. Goes well second-up and gets the blinkers applied first time. Best form puts him right in this. ARNIE'S BOY (6) doesn't win out of turn but usually runs well at this track. Was beaten a narrow margin at the latest. Drawn to settle closer and is worth good thought on best figures. BLAZING TYCOON (12) chased gamely to the line last start at Northam when finishing 1.8L away in fourth. Rise in trip suits. Has claims if runs up to his mark.
SELECTIONS: Backing Rulelee to win.

BALAKLAVA: RACE 4 @ 1:55 PM

THE WEIGHT (14) switched barns and led beaten a half-length at Gawler and is much improved. Gets a top hoop and should have the speed to skip over from an outside barrier. Fitter and will go close with average luck. FLYING BARTY (9) resumes for a sharp barn off two placed runs in town. She will have come on and looked good in the recent Murray Bridge trial. Needs a good ride but will be hard to beat. MADAM PRANCEALOT (10) resumes and has switched from Sydney to a top local barn. Didn't do much in a recent trial but she's certainly good enough. The betting should indicate if she's pleasing. SPIRITUAL GAL (13) is fast and should make short work of the awkward barrier. Found one better first-up but is well in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Leaning to The Weight.

SALE: RACE 5 @ 2:45 PM

BOLD HOI HO (4) was terrific winning on debut. Spaced his rivals there and powered through the line producing good overall figures. Looks up to better races than this and he can win again on his way up the ladder. GYMNASTICS (10) is the danger. Just a length away at Sandown having been left with plenty to do. Just the one win in ten but she has been most consistent and that latest effort gives her a big look at this. ECLIPSE SOLAR (5) is racing really well and has a hope and the same has to be said of last start winner RED ON RED (6) who will find this tougher but not so much so that he shouldn't be considered.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Bold Hoi Ho being better than this level.
