Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Warwick Farm, Warrnambool, Eagle Farm, Ascot & Strathalbyn.

Warwick Farm: Race 5 @ 3:10pm

Hostwin Epanoui likes to roll along in the lead so expect the pace to be genuine. CARIF (2) ran a cracking 4th in the Tulloch Stakes two starts back behind the Derby quinella horses, then got too far back in the Frank Packer Plate over 2000m last start and couldn't make up the leeway. Huge class drop today and will be cherry-ripe after four runs back. MRS MADRID (6) also brings black-type form to the table, running an even race last time to finish 1.8 lengths back in the Adrian Knox over 2000m at Randwick. That run came off a 38-day break so certainly strips fitter for this assignment. Looks a race in two, although HOSTWIN EPANOUI (7) can give some cheek if left alone in front. CHIEF KIDDER (9) for the exotics. SELECTIONS: #2 Carif looks the best bet on the card and will justify the short quote.

Strathalbyn: Race 3 @ 1:45pm

Hindley Street can make the speed. YANKEE LOU (4) is promising and is ready to win third-up off two strong placings. He will use the rail and is sure to go close. SCOUT'S HONOUR (1) peaks and is racing well. Gets the winkers first time and can make the finish. HINDLEY STREET (2) is fast and brings strong figures. Draws to advantage and has to be considered at good odds. SACRED WALK (5) resumes for the new yard and has shown enough to suggest she's a chance. SELECTIONS #4 Yankee Lou gets his chance.

Ascot: Race 7 @ 8:27pm

Ten Carat can lead and the two top selections will also be prominent from the jump. BOYAGIN (1) was wide placing here on debut and then won the Maiden first-up at the same venue as favourite. Four winners have come out of that and drawn handy he’s clearly the one to beat again. GOLDEN ARCHES (2) was much better second-up just missing the placings from the speed. Draws out a bit but should cope and he should make the finish. GOOD FORTUNE (5) gets a good gate and has been racing well without winning. He has minor claims. STELLA ANNE (4) has claims and best and should be ready to show something. SELECTIONS: Keen on # 1 Boyagin.
