Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on May 10.
Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Murwillumbah, Scone, Cranbourne, Sunshine Coast & Mt Gambier.
Scone: Race 3 @ 1:30pm
Sukwhinder is a flyer and will have no trouble leading. LONGBOTTOM (4) made it two wins from two starts when she won a tight drive to the line over 1000m at Eagle Farm last start. Exciting prospect who can keep the record intact from a lovely draw today. SUKWHINDER (6) is the danger after a stylish all-the-way win on debut over this journey at Grafton last time out. Has to overcome a wide gate but should cross to lead and will be hard to reel in. OUTTA REACH (5) has not appeared since finishing down the track in a rich juvenile race at Randwick in mid-December. Form prior to that was sound. A big first up effort is anticipated. SPILT (1) caught the eye last start and will be winding up late again. SELECTIONS: #4 Longbottom looks to have a class edge on these.

Murwillumbah: Race 7 @ 3.00pm
Hard to find a leader here in a race likely to run at a modest tempo. FRANKEL STAR (2) missed by a whisker over the mile at the Sunshine Coast two starts back. Tackled a Class 2 last time out over 1800m at the Gold Coast and was found wanting. Races handy today and will take some stopping back to this trip in a Class 1. MOTHER TO RACE HER (3) held her ground without threatening when a close 7th over 1690m at Ipswich last time out. Drawn well and at her peak now so expect a spike in form. BILL THE CONQUEROR (1) raced wide and dropped right out to finish a distant 4th over the Sunshine Coast mile recently. May not have appreciated the quick back-up that day so worth one more chance. MALEKO (7) first up for the new stable could surprise. SELECTIONS #2 Frankel Star in a more suitable race today - expect a big turnaround in form.
Mt Gambier: Race 8 @ 4:30pm
Olympic Academy will be prominent from the jump. GOLDEN AUTHORITY (6) ran his best race beaten 2.4 L in the Listed Warrnambool Cup 8 days ago on the slow. Had been racing well leading up to that and a repeat would see him winning using the rail. OLYMPIC ACADEMY (2) has improved the last two runs, winning the latest at Morphettville in a 90. Gets form hoop Clark back on and will be very competitive. AZURITE (5) is up to this and won the last start over 3600m. Faces a big distance drop but has to be considered. ZAIDE (11) next best. SELECTIONS: # 6 Golden Authority wins with a repeat of the latest.
Cranbourne: Race 5 @ 8:00pm
THOUGHTFUL HARMONY (7) has won her last four including both runs this time in. Ready for the extra trip now and expected to go close. SASKO (3) wound up well in town when resuming. Rates among the chances and has upside. RYAN'S FENDER (4) ran well below expectations latest but can do better this easier company. ZABALAN (2) was close up latest and in the mix. SELECTIONS: Thoughtful Harmony is the form horse.
