Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on May 26.
Meetings are held across Australia on this Sunday at Sandown, Musswelbrook, Nowra, Sunshine Coast, Alice Springs, Penola and Kalgoorlie.
Muswellbrook: Race 4 @ 2:10pm
This is a race without a noted pacesetter. CHUCK'N'PAUL (1) is a good horse when right. Outclassed at Scone during the carnival most recently. Prior form around this region was faultess, constantly fighting out the finish. Greg Ryan has a freakish record aboard the horse. Weight should be offset by the barrier. One to beat. EXFLYTATIONS (3) gave a sight in town last start, folding up late. Not often does Mick Price send one to Muswellbrook. She's here to run well. MOUNT BULLA (2) reeled them in stylishly last start. Winning form can't be overlooked. CASS 'N' BLACK (4) struggles to win but loves a placing. Always a chance in these races but needs the stars to align. SELECTIONS: Chuck'n'Paul gets the nod

Sandown: Race 6 @ 3:15pm
Even early speed. Call It A Day from the inside gate, from Redefine drawn out. Reflectivity won't be far away.CALL IT A DAY (5) gets in very well at the weights after the three kilo claim. He's placed all five runs this campaign including a win at Caulfield over Dr Drill two starts ago. He'll make his own luck on speed from the inside barrier and could take catching. SPIRIT OF AQUADA (6) has run close up seconds at three of his past four starts since winning at Moonee Valley. He'll be in it for a long way again. HOLY COMMAND (10) has won two from three at this distance and is working up to another win. Drawn ideally and has a featherweight after the claim. REFLECTIVITY (4) creates interest first up off a solid Trial. Is better over further but will be closing late. ARTIE DEE TWO (3) is racing in good form and it would be no surprise to see him win here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Call It A Day the win.
Alice Springs Race 2 @ 3:14pm
Love Club can make the speed. LOVE CLUB (3) is a former South Australian who impressed winning first-up for the new yard speeding along. Finds a smaller field with less pressure and can go on with it. ICELANDIC STAR (1) also won the latest and that stacks up. The 3kg claim brings him right into it. MAUDY (4) has been around the mark without winning and is worth consideration coming back in trip. SELECTION: Looks the right race for #3 Love Club.
Kalgoorlie Race 5 @ 5:20pm
Excaro and Oradale’s Image can make the speed and others will also race forward. EXCARO (6) led and won the Maiden by 5L resuming and then missed a whisker in stronger than this. He draws to advantage and expect him to bounce back. ALL THAT SIZZLE (8) has also won and placed the last two and didn’t have the best of it the latest at Northam. She should have speed to clear the tricky gate and is feared. WELCOME SHADOW (7) draws low and will be better for the first-up outing and can find the finish at best. VITAL TOUCH (10) best of the rest. SELECTION #6 Excaro has upside and the figures to be winning.
Penola Race 5 @ 3:35pm
Grassmere Miss and Royal Rue will be handy from the jump. GRASSMERE MISS (7) has been good the two runs back and keeps improving. Runs along and is clearly the one to beat. ROYAL RUE (9) is up to this at best and forget the only run last campaign when she pulled up with an issue. Expect her to clear the gate okay and a good return wouldn’t surprise. COMMANDING STYLE (11) resumes for the in-form yard and is better that the form looks. Draws low and consider if there’s betting support. ELMO RULZ (2) was okay resuming and can build on that. SELECTION: Expecting #7 Grassmere Miss to have an edge.
