Today’s Horse Racing Tips – June 20

3 minute read

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 20.

Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Wyong, Warrnambool, Gatton & Northam.

Wyong: Race 6 @ 3:10pm

Good pace to come from Lashes and Sir Elton. SIR ELTON (10) started very short on debut last start over this distance at Gosford and gave backers little cause for concern, leading all the way to win with plenty in reserve. Very smart three-year-old who can repeat the dose with the advantage of the inside stall. LASHES (1) is a threat first up from a four-month spell. Closed the last campaign with a convincing win over this distance at Hawkesbury in what turned out to be a hot form race. Has won two recent trials so is ready to run very well. FIFTEEN ROUNDS (7) has performed well at both fresh runs in the past and warrants close attention despite the eight-month layoff. LUCAND LAD (6) is another strong first-up performer to keep in mind. SELECTIONS: Keen on #10 Sir Elton.

Gatton: Race 5 @ 2:50pm

Cash'n'run can kick up from the inside. SECLUDE (6) was beaten in the final few strides at Dalby on resumption. Noticeably fitter and has the class to bounce back. Consistent last preparation. Speedy enough to overcome the wide draw. Hard to beat. EL DEMONIO (11) is hard to line-up. Beaten at the picnics in recent times. Very quick into stride and that should suit over the 860m. Can give a kick. SIXTY ONE TIGERS (12) got the job done at Gladstone first-up. Not the worst. SELECTIONS: Seclude for the win.

Warrnambool: Race 10 @ 4:30pm

Not sure the leader, but expect the field to run along okay. REBELLIOUS LORD (2) hit the line okay second-up in stronger at Caulfield after a solid resumption and peaks now. He has more up the sleeve and is the one to beat. RENDELSHAM (11) is also third-up and has a similar profile. Looks a bit of value. METEOR LIGHT (5) was back to form at Mornington and that stacks up. He’ll get every chance from the handy gate. CASA DE LARGO (6) peaks and finds easier and is in the mix. SELECTIONS: #2 Rebellious Lord gets his chance. Open races all day.
