Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for major Australian TAB meetings on June 30.
Meetings across Australia are today held at Bairnsdale, Devenport, Naracoorte, Kalgoorlie and Grafton.
Grafton: Race 2 @ 11.55am
Very little early pace on paper. SAINTLY SUNRISE (6) did his best work late when 3rd in a Class 1 over today's trip at Taree last start. Has now placed at both runs over the mile and back to a maiden he clearly looks the one to beat. CHEVERNY (2) battled on without threatening to finish just off the placings last time out over 1350m at Doomben. Drawn well and the step up in distance has come at the right time. MISS FRASER (12) was flushed wide on the turn and battled on fairly to finish 5th over 1625m at Toowoomba recently. Very fit now after three runs back and will be peaking. CAPTAIN TOM (1) next in line. SELECTIONS: #6 Saintly Sunrise looks too good for these.

Bairnsdale: Race 2 @ 1:00pm
Rock Tycoon may be the one to lead, but not clear cut. ROCK TYCOON (7) resumed and found one better heavily-backed, and then was beaten a lip the same venue by Fight. He peaks now and can find his best and be winning. PEREIRA (6) impressed on debut and then was spelled after failing when heavily-backed. He should be further improved and no surprise if he's right in the photo resuming from the handy draw. ACHIEVE VICTORY (1) resumes off the Group 3 at the mile and had shown enough the other two runs to suggest he's a player with a good ride. SKEPTICAL LAD (9) may be best of the rest. SELECTIONS: # 7 Rock Tycoon peaks and finds the right race.
Devonport: Sunday Race 5 @ 1:57pm
Limerick City seems the natural pace here. BRACCENBY (1) continues to race in good heart. He does get back but generally finishes well. He didn't miss by much a month back. The claim is a big help once more. SMOOTH PEBBLES (6) chases three on the bounce. They've been in restricted races but she has drawn clear late. UNCOVERED (10) ended last campaign over longer. Will be running on. KEPTA (11) rattled late three weeks ago. She is more of a placegetter. TAMBRO'S GAME (7) has not won for over a year but likes it here. SELECTIONS: Braccenby to be stuck with.
Naracoorte: Race 1 @ 1:10pm
Beejay's Hero and Please Rise can make the speed. THE PUBLIKIN (9) missed a lip twice and then was rolled late up in trip at Balaklava. Comes back to a short sprint here and has the ability to cope carrying a feather weight. BEEJAY'S HERO (3) was just nudged out at Edenhope improving again. He peaks now and gets his chance. PLEASE RISE (7) resumes and placed on debut two back for the old yard. He will use the low gate and expect improvement. RODNEY (1) also resumes for a new yard and was just beat in a recent trial and the Parks. Keep the well-bred galloper very safe. SELECTIONS: A tough program. #9 The Publican won't get a better chance.
Kalgoorlie: Race 1 @ 2:50pm
Fishy can lead from King For Life. FISHY (6) peaks and has placed the last three. Was just nudged out the latest as favourite and gets his chance today drawn to advantage. JACK'S FROST (3) resumes bringing Esperance form and is up to this at best. Expect him to be ready to go. FIRST STRIKE (5) is also a winning chance and got close the latest. The winkers come off. KING FOR LIFE (1) will be fitter and is in the mix. SELECTIONS: #6 Fishy is suited.
