Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on July 26.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Mildura, Ipswich, Canberra Acton & Broome.
Mildura: Race 6 @ 3:30pm
Mums My Hero and Duke Of Boneo can run them along. PHYSICALITY (3) impressed resuming with the 2L win in the 58 on the synthetic. She ran favourite and four winners have come out of that. He’s been saved for this from a city mid-week and makes strong appeal with the weight drop. SOUTHERN TURF (4) won well three back and hasn’t had the best of it since. Meech replaces the apprentice and a bounce is on the cards. MUM'S MY HERO (2) peaks and is racing well. Gets the claim and should be right in the finish. SANG CHOI BAO (1) can improve third-up for the strong yard. SELECTIONS: Keen on #3 Physicality.

Ipswich: Race 2 @ 1:50pm
COMBAT KID (1) is an interesting runner. Ran his rivals ragged on debut nearly 200 days ago. Clearly had issues post that but no doubting his talent. Gelded since. He'll be set alight early and can take the next step. ZAITEKI (2) is hard to knock. Debut winner this course/distance a month ago, leading for the entire. Sure to benefit from that. Will be competitive. BETTER THAN GOLD (5) is having a mixed preparation. Didn't appreciate the bog track at the Gold Coast last start. Thrashed a moderate bunch prior to that. Can measure-up. SPEEDYCOM (4) for the exotics. SELECTIONS: Combat Kid has a touch of X factor. Backing to win.
Canberra: Race 6 @ 3:35pm
Confidential Lad may lead from Badge Of Gameness. CONFIDENT LAD (3) was heavily backed winning the CL1 here at the last meeting. He impressed in that and the scratchings open it right up for him. BADGE OF GAMENESS is a bit in-and-out but the Nowra run two back rates well for this and a form winning rider (McDougall) is reunited. He will race handy and should be right in it. SMILING AT SHADOWS (9) brings good figures and should see out the extra trip okay. He's a chance now. O'PRINCESS (8) is also a top four hope along with GRASP (5). SELECTIONS: Hard to go past #3 Confidential Lad on the latest effort.
