Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on August 30.
Two TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Tamworth & Ipswich.
Tamworth: Race 2 @ 1:25pm
Hot Sister and Crimson Rose to show the way - much of the early pace has come out of this race post-scratchings. CRIMSON ROSE (12) didn't run a strong 1200m first up but bounced back last time out over this course and distance, hitting the lead at the furlong only to be bloused close to home. Lightly raced filly who will be extra hard to stop today with added fitness. CONGREGATE (2) had one run for Godolphin back on Boxing Day 2018 and failed to fire over 1400m at Newcastle. Now trained locally by Craig Martin - expect a big run for the new stable. OURTHEO (4) resumes from a six-month spell which followed a maiden campaign that yielded three placings from four appearances. Enjoys a lovely trail from gate two and should have plenty to offer when called upon. SHE JUST SAID IT (9) also has claims first up. SELECTIONS: Very keen on #12 Crimson Rose to open her account today.
Ipswich: Race 2 @ 1:45pm
Do The Mountain should press on from the deep. SPIRIT HOUSE (6) resumes. Narrowly beaten at the Gold Coast as favourite on debut. Tested in an open race after that and came up short. Given time by the Gollan camp. Big drop in grade. Trial at Doomben recently was slick work. Appears out to impress. ALL UP TEE KAY (1) showed enough last campaign to be competitive. Claim is ideal. Will be handy for a long way. LAKOUDIS (8) has had his chance. Good behind a smart one here last start. Always around the mark. LETSAVA JUNGLEJUCE (2) next in line. SELECTIONS: Spirit House is promising.
