Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Wyong, Ballarat, Birdsville, Sunshine Coast & Canberra.

Wyong: Race 8 @ 5:15pm

A stack of pace in the last with Engadine leading the way. MAROCH (4) returned from a 21-week break with a dogged all-the-way win over this trip at Gosford last time out. Progressive gelding who is yet to be beaten at this distance and has been in the top three at all five starts. Probably pushes forward from the wide gate and with even luck can win again. AIRWING (5) is a sparingly raced gelding resuming from a 19-week spell. Came to hand quickly at the start of the last campaign then went on to be very competitive at this level. Can win without surprising. RED NOTICE (8) has won three in a row, the last couple at Taree over 1000m. Despite a sticky gate cannot be ruled out. The consistent OAKFIELD CAPTAIN (1) has placed 2/2 when third up - appeals on an each-way basis. SELECTIONS: #4 Maroch to win a very good final race.

Canberra: Race 3 @ 1:50pm

A few have led on occasions, but hard to nominate one who will take up that role today. The money kept coming for BRENNAMAN (3) on resumption, but he was forced back after meeting trouble at the start. His finish was an real eye catcher and McDougal sticks from that. Needs a good ride, but he looks to have a stack of upside. and presents as the one to beat. CADENCE (4) is a candidate to lead with a decent kick and expect quick improvement on the first-up Gosford hit-out. He draws well and the stable has a good record at the track. AESOP'S FABLE (5) hasn’t been far away and the blinkers are applied today. Peaks and can be in the finish for the Sydney yard. DISCO DIVA (8) draws low and is in good hands. Expect her to make quick improvement following the Newcastle debut. SELECTIONS: Backing #3 Brennaman on the upside. #2 Dambulla should be winning the last at restrictive odds.

Birdsville: Race 3 @ 2:35pm

Static Lift may be the one to lead. SUPREME ATTRACTION (7) deserved the big CL2 win at Dubbo heavily-backed and peaks today for the new yard. He draws okay and should have these covered. STATIC LIFT (5) is also racing well and go on the close up effort at Townsville two back in a strong form race. He’s now in the Johnson yard and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. MOVING TARGET (3) has been racing well enough to fill a minor slot as has THUNDER (8) who gets the rail.SELECTIONS: Keen on #7 Supreme Attraction.

Ballarat Race 4 @ 3:00pm

Artsplace, Emkay Zel and Reard all go fast so it will be a keen early contest. CHICAGO BULL (8) had one run last prep and finished down the track in the G2 Silver Slipper at Rosehill. Placed in the Maribyrnong Plate at his only other run so clearly has talent. Capable of taking care of this field if forward enough off the 28-week break. ARTSPLACE (1) took charge before the corner but was gunned down late last start over this trip on the Pakenham synthetic. Heavily supported that day so may be worth another chance with added fitness this time. EMKAY ZEL (5) finished 3rd in a four-way thriller on debut recently at this track. Only needs to find a little natural improvement to be a major contender. Respect any market support for the well-related AJYAAL (13) on debut for Hayes/Hayes/Dabernig. SELECTIONS: #8 Chicago Bull to win.

Sunshine Coast: Race 6 @ 7:15pm

A few noted pacesetters engaged. RICHETTI (1) is primed to strike second-up. Did enough at Ipswich last start in a hot form race behind Countess De Galvez. Surprised everybody with a fourth placing in open company at 80-1 last campaign. Has talent. Will be hard to hold out. DOOM (3) has fifteen placings and only the one win. Given every chance here last start. Racing well and a must for the multiples as always. KING'S MEN (12) weaved through the field to get third at Kilcoy last start. Back in the game now and drawn low again. SELECTIONS: Richetti. Backing to win.
