The spring carnival is warming up in Sydney and Melbourne and that means feature racing with the Chelmsford Stakes at Randwick, Feehan Stakes at Moonee Valley and key meetings at Eagle Farm, Belmont and Morphettville Parks.

Randwick: Race 1 @ 12:10pm

Spring is officially here and if Saturday's racing doesn't get you excited, you are probably in the wrong game.

We kick off the day with one of strongest benchmark races you'll find, can't wait to see how the betting unfolds, no doubt there will be plenty of differing opinions.

While clearly very talented, I feel Pandemic is too short ($2.60) early doors, given the depth of his opposition.

My lean in the race would be towards Yao Dash, was backed off the boards on debut and saluted in very sharp figures at Canterbury. Read More

Moonee Valley: Race 6 @ 3:30pm

It's officially spring and the Feehan Stakes card at the Valley on Saturday looks a cracker. There's something about the horses from the Apple Isle and The Valley. Eagle Farm: Race 4 @ 1:33pm

Progressive sprinter Scallopini looks well placed to make a winning return at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The lightly-raced Steven O'Dea five-year-old is nicely drawn in gate two for the Ums School Wear Open Handicap over 1200m. Read More

Belmont: Race 6 @ 3:15pm

Some good races on the Perth card this week but one of the most interesting runners could be a resuming 3yo. Amelia's On Fire kicks off over the 1000m straight into a 1MW open race. Read More

Morphettville Parks: Race 5 @ 3:11pm

It is Australia v Ireland jumping challenge day but we are hoping for some lucky shamrocks ourselves on a wet day. Really like the way Shop Til I Drop has been finishing her races off this campaign and so happy to stay with her in Race 5. Read More
