Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Lismore, Sale, Rockhampton & Northam.
Sale: Race 5 @ 3:00pm
No designated leader and Little Phoenix may do the job. WARNING (12) made a ratings spike just missing on resumption at Sandown after being back and wide. He draws handier today and Zahra is booked. He’s promising and the one to beat. LITTLE PHOENIX (4) will push forward and may control the race. He improved again placing here 11 days ago as a firm favourite and can be right in the finish again. HIGH TORQUE (10) did enough at Moonee Valley at his second-race start to suggest he’ll be very competitive. Kah sticks and will be looking for a better jump today from the rail. ACCELERANT (8) can build on the debut placing. SELECTIONS: Keen on #12 Warning.

Lismore: Race 3 @ 2:05pm
Northern Dragon from a wide gate will probably cross and lead. CUBIX (7) didn't have the smoothest of runs but drove hard late to just get up over this distance at Murwillumbah last start. Lightly raced colt who showed vast improvement that day and is well-placed to go right on with the job today. PAINTER'S REWARD (10) is lining up for the first time in 11 weeks and is now with a new stable. Placed 2/3 when fresh and was competitive in a string of Class 2 races when he went around at Rockhampton last prep. Good enough to make an impact today. MY COUSIN STEVE (4) did his best work late when a close 4th first up over 1000m at Ballina. Draws a far better gate this time so deserves plenty of thought. NORTHERN DRAGON (5) has the ability to be in the finish first up from a 15-week break. SELECTIONS: #7 Cubix is progressive and can win again.
Rockhampton: Race 3 @ 2:55pm
Bold Xavvi won't be far away in terms of early speed. Small field but a cracking contest. BOLD XAVVI (2) has been the benchmark galloper in this region for a few seasons now. Ventured to the Gold Coast last start and held his own behind Cabeirian. Back to his favoured track. He annihilates his rivals here with even luck. Wiggins is keen to stick and he'll take a power of beating. CASINO THOUGHTS (1) looms as a threat. Attempts to make it the hat-trick. Big climb in the weights but it's hard to knock a ten time winner at this track. JAY JAY (6) was safely held by Casino Thoughts at his last start. He's a length or two off the top pair but always gives his all. ISIS MAGIC (3) next in line.SELECTIONS: Bold Xavvi gets the nod.
Northam: Race 1 @ 3:40pm
Midnight Hour can lead from Minika. JENJA (4) resumed improved winning the Maiden here and then was just beaten this grade at Belmont hitting the line okay. He’s promising and gets his chance. MINIKA (2) ran favourite here resuming, but got too far back, finding one much too good. He brought strong city form and can jump and run today from the rail and is feared. MIDNIGHT HOUR (3) led and looked in need of it resuming. He will improve here. SELECTIONS: #4 Jenja to top off the favourite.
