Nowra: Race 6 @ 4:40pm

Even race. GARROS (1) has done enough in two runs back to warrant strong consideration. Stays at the mile. Performed well with big weights in the past. Chad Lever is a natural heavyweight so it doesn't appear a major issue. Loves it here and should be ready to pounce. WE COULD BE HEROES (2) is having his ninth run for the preparation. Chalked up yet another win at Hawkesbury last start. Never been in better form. Makes his own luck. JOE'S JOY (3) could be an improver third-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Garros for the win.

Ballarat: Race 4 @ 3:05pm

BONAPARTE (6) resumes here after a short but sweet autumn campaign which returned a maiden win at Pakenham. Gelded during his latest spell. Expected to go close. GINA'S HOPE (9) has been in the market at her last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start running fifth at Sandown-Hillside. Drops in grade on those runs and first up outing in similar company to this was good. AMBLEVE (12) was among the placings last time when third at Geelong and will be fitter second up, expected to run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bonaparte straight out.

Sunshine Coast: Race 5 @ 3.09pm

A strong tempo likely with Grey Artemis spearing over from a wide alley to lead. EPICURIOUS (10) made a long sustained run to get up for 3rd last start over this distance at Eagle Farm. Huge class drop today from an open three-year-old race on a Saturday in Brisbane to a provincial maiden. Looks particularly well treated under today's scale and should be opening her account. BETTER THAN GROOVY (1) caught the eye when he charged home late into 3rd place last time out over 1200m at this circuit. Drawn perfectly and is crying out for seven furlongs. AL JOOD (9) is a lightly raced filly whose two runs to date at Ipswich have been encouraging. Blinkers go on today so she might be ready to go to another level today. LET'S CONQUER (5) disappointed last start but from the inside alley is worth another chance today. SUGGESTED PLAY: #10 Epicurious a special.

Moree: Race 6 @ 3.35pm

Apache Lad from the good gate holds the lead from Rage Against spearing over from wider out. STAMPEDE WARRIOR (2) has been relentless of late, racing through the grades impressively. Won a maiden, a Class 1, then a Class 3 at Mudgee last start, getting up narrowly over 1400m. Hitting the line well so reason he won't run a strong mile in a race that looks no deeper than his last assignment. BONNIE SARE (7) settled just off the pace and failed to run on in a similar race to this three weeks ago. Tongue tie removed today which may go some way to explaining the average run. Handy mare when right so worth another chance. MYSTICISM (1) had a 45-day break before running a respectable 4th in open company over 1400m here last time out. Course specialist who strips fitter this time and is back sharply in grade. Winning chance despite the big weight. RAGE AGAINST (3) has been freshened up and can run a cheeky race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with the in-form #2 Stampede Warrior.

Alice Springs: Race 3 @ 2:50pm

Maiden Grace can lead from Sorry I Am Razor. MAIDEN GRACE (6) missed a nose the latest and is ready to win fourth up. He draws well and should go one better. TOFFIATO (1) won the 54 by a space and then things didn't work out as favourite after. Keeps the claim and a bounce won't surprise. BETH ROSE (2) is first-up and has won in that state. Draws out, but gets the 4kg claim and should be around the mark. PAOLO (4) was tracking well before the latest and keep onside. SELECTION: #6 Maiden Grace rates to win.

Coleraine: Race 2 @ 2:05pm

Suburbia the likely leader. EUROSYMBOL (4) made sharp improvement placing at Swan Hill up to this trip. He has more to offer on the 9 day return and just needs a good ride from the tricky gate to be winning. SUBURBIA (7) is speedy and ran out of puff resuming at Benalla with some support. The back form reads well and he's a sharp improver. DOUREKN (3) wasn't far away resuming when he had a tough run. He can improve at this trip. LEICA MAE (10) is also second-up and should be around the mark. SELECTION: #4 Eurosymbol peaks and will take beating.
