HOBART: RACE 8 @ 3:55PM

Good speed here you'd expect. The Bow Mistress Trophy has plenty of hopes. Platinum Angel (3) is a good mare who took on better company in the Spring. She was close up a few times and often runs well fresh. DEROCHE (14) has been in sparkling form but those races have been in small fields. At least she draws a lovely gate. BEAUTY (5) was a good winner in Melbourne. This is her right trip. TWITCHY FRANK (1) always gives you a sight. She enjoys the gap between runs too. I REMEMBER YOU (8) is such an honest mare. SELECTIONS: #3 Platinum Angel is an each way play. #1 Twitchy Frank a small bet too.

Hobart Computer Card - Feb 9

MOE: RACE 4 @ 2:00pm

Dargo will probably lead Monmouth and the large field will run along okay over the staying trip. DARGO (1) is promising and won up to this trip 16 days ago on the soft. He should be able to roll forward comfortably and can deliver again. KARAKORAM (3) has been knocking on the door and is back in grade off a peak effort. Draws to advantage and Rawiller replaces the apprentice. AMICABEEL (8) seeks the hat-trick in stronger and there was only a lip in it this trip the latest. Gets in light and has to be considered. MONMOUTH (5) is in the mix. SELECTION: #1 Dargo has upside and can win again.

GOULBURN: RACE 4 @ 3:30pm

Singing River should work across from the wide alley. SOUTHERN APPEAL (5) creates a stack of interest. He was subject to a big betting plunge in a highway when last sighted but was beaten before the corner. Big effort to break the maiden in a strong race here prior to that. He's been given plenty of time by Danny Williams. Blinkers go on. Talented when right and his trial leading in was crisp. Expected to take beating with Clipperton up. JEWEL OF THE CLAN (4) will be the one to catch on the speed. Got the job done at Forbes last start. In a good yard and will be full of confidence. Just 53.5kg after the claim. SINGING RIVER (1) was a provincial winner on debut. Two runs since behind well performed horses in Micks New Chick and Virgilio were both full of merit. Two soft trials in readiness. She can win. SNIPPY FOX (8) was a course/distance winner last start and can't be overlooked. SELECTIONS: Southern Appeal gets the nod.

PORT MACQUARIE: RACE 7 @ 5:35pm

Will go quick in this. End the meeting with the best race of the day. DULETTE (3) has a sense of timing about his chances. Terrific on speed in a good highway at Randwick on resumption. Second-up form is just as solid. Drawn for the perfect run and he gets his chance to stand-up and stamp himself a serious contender in the Country Championships qualifier in a few weeks. FOXY'S FOXINATOR (1) got too far back with the 61kg last start. Stylish winner prior to that at Grafton. He's better suited today and should be winding up late with a strong effort. ACOUSTIX (4) has rocketed into contention winning two on end. Wide alley will test his class but he can't be knocked. MAGNALANE (9) must be kept safe. does need to prove himself at this level but respecting the trainer's decision. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dulette to end proceedings.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 6 @ 5:25pm

Good speed with Shigeru Mahogany and Absolute Bonza prominent. CHILL THE BEER (9) just missed at the Sunshine Coast resuming and then disappointed at Doomben. He has plenty up the sleeve and can prove too good third-up in this company. ALL EEZ (2) was a big all the way winner at Mackay before an okay effort at the Sunshine Coast in stronger than this. Should get a cosy run and a bounce is likely. LADYADA (8) is quick and capable. Pulled up with heat stress resuming here in Open grade and is a second-up winner. CYCLONE FUGITIVE (3) hasn't won for a while but returned in good order. SELECTION: #9 Chill The Beer is suited.

NARROGIN: RACE 7 @ 7.55pm (AEDST)

Proxy to lead the Cup field at a good clip. BURNING PRIDE (5) made it two wins on the trot when she closed powerfully to score by a length over 1800m at Ascot last start. Beautifully in on the limit - clearly the one they have to beat. THE BIG SHOW (1) returned to form when fourth up from a spell over 1800m at Ascot last weekend, taking over at the 100m mark and clearing away. Pateman has the key to this five-year-old and he stays aboard. The logical threat. SUPERIOR SMILE (2) wasn't beaten all that far at Ascot last start after a nail-biting win at Pinjarra the run before. Rarely turns in a bad race. SCORELINE (9) has won three of his last four - hard to knock down in the weights. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Williams/Pike team to take the Cup with #5 Burning Pride.
