GOLWEN (3) should be close to his peak now after finishing third over 1200m at this track. Has never been out of the money in three starts here including a win and rates among the leading chances. JOY FOR US (14) ran fourth at her last start beaten 4.5 lengths at Newcastle over 1400m. Looks well placed here.HISTORY (13) started at $3.80 last time on the back of a win at this track but was below best when sixth over 1400m at Newcastle. Disappointing last start but her best figures are too good to ignore and can atone here. RENALOT (6) has come up well this time in. Course proven. SELECTION: #3 Golwen is ready to win.

Leeton: Race 2 @ 12:45pm
Sheeza Menzies looks the leader. FREE LUNCH (1) resumed as favourite at Corowa as favourite beaten 2L. Is much improved and can win in this line-up with the claim and extra fitness. SOOMAYYA (8) resumed as a firm favourite at Bathurst and mucked the start and was wide after. Had trialled well and expect quick improvement with a good ride from the outside gate. SHEEZA MENZIES (7) was tracking well before getting caught wide off the cruel gate at Wagga. Will likely control this from the better draw and can make the finish. PRACTICAL JOKE (6) will be better for the first-up run and gets the rail and blinkers applied first time. She can improve. SELECTION: Backing #1 Free Lunch each way at the $5.0 currently available. Wary # 8 Soomayya.
Townsville: Race 8 @ 4:55pm
There are a number of leaders engaged and they will fly along. MISS FLAWLESS (12) has been close up the last three and made a ratings leap the latest in stronger than this. Draws okay and gets his chance in light with the 3kg claim. MOUNT COSTA (4) resumes seeking the hat-trick and won the Maiden by a space two back at Cairns. Rates well, but will need luck find the speed from the very wide gate. SER SER SCHON (6) will push forward and has just missed the last three. She is a hope again at a price. BUOYANCY (7) peaks and has also been going well without winning. Should be right in the finish. SELECTION: #12 Miss Flawless is honest and looks a solid each way proposition.
Pinjarra: Race 6 @ 7:52pm
Michelle Ma Belle looks the one to lead and the large field should run along. ON RED ALERT (3) has to manage a wide gate. but is ready to win off the two near misses. There was only a nose in it the latest as favourite racing handy in much stronger. Gets the handy 3kg claim and rates to break through. MICHELLE MA BELLE (5) just missed her third-up at this level from the front and keeps getting better. She can control the race and the 3kg claim also advantages. AMILLIONITE (8) is also on the improve and will get every chance from the low gate. MISS NOBELLE (9) is also in the mix drawn well. SELECTION: #3 On Red Alert looks suited.
