EAGLE FARM: RACE 7 @ 2:55PM

Rothfire, Wisdom Of Water and Wild Ruler from wide gates will go hard early to cross. Macroura (14) is the only runner in the betting that has drawn a decent gate. Unbeaten filly from the Maher/Eustace stable who won the Listed Woodlands over 1100m at Rosehill last start with a bit in hand. Up sharply in trip but is from a Zabeel mare so should relish the challenge. ROTHFIRE (1) pinged straight to the lead and dictated in the G2 Champagne Classic over 1200m here a fortnight ago. Classy juvenile with an imposing record but won't get a picnic in front this time. WISDOM OF WATER (3) has led all the way to win at both appearances this prep by big margins, most recently in the G3 Ken Russell at the Gold Coast. Needs luck in running and meets a deeper field today but his form is hard to fault. ISOTOPE (17) sat behind Rothfire here a fortnight ago but couldn't pick him up in what turned out to be a sprint home. Exciting filly but might be a little query at 1400m. WILD RULER (2) next best but needs to go to a new level to win. SELECTIONS: #14 Macroura an each-way special.

RANDWICK: RACE 5 @ 1:50PM

They should fly here with good speed engaged over the 1200m journey. Burning Crown (5) did a good job to win first up before sticking on gamely behind the in-form Dirty Work. Since kept fresh (35 days) and Bowman takes over from a middle draw. Rates well on best form and should prove hard to beat. UP TRUMPZ (9) simply got too far back last start when closing off well late at Randwick (K). Drawn out again which is a concern, but JMac sticks and he has peak form good enough to get him into the finish. MONTE DITTO (11) continues to race well and gives the impression he will relish getting to Randwick (last three starts at Canterbury). CHARRETERA (10) is only 2/16, but is more than capable fresh. SELECTIONS: Sticking with Burning Crown.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 3 @ 12:45pm

Independent Road holds a positive spot from the low draw and Dargo goes on. Coolth (5) hit the line strongly to score over 1600m at Murray Bridge last time out. Big eye-catcher there and ran really slick splits to win with a leg in the air. Clearly a big talent and looks sure to relish the step up in trip now. He's the one that could be headed to better things. HIGHLAND JAKK (6) will be rock-hard fit now following a nice effort at this track last start when fourth. Expecting a bold showing from him as he comes to his peak. HEZAFOX (1) won at Sandown and then started at $4.50 last time in similar. Better than that and should run a better race. HYPERCANE (3) was allowed to drift back from a wide draw last time and there throughout but found the line strongly, running on to hit the frame over 1600m in the LR Adelaide Guineas at Morphettville. Nice class drop this time and we have seen that form stack up well already. SELECTIONS: Big eyes on Coolth but Highland Jakk looks a strong each way bet as he hits his peak.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 5 @ 2:20PM (AEST)

Much of the speed comes from those at the bottom. Lombardo (2) comes from a stable who are flying. He ran a strong race at Flemington to just miss the placings. Won't have to do much more here to be winning. Blinkers are on now for good measure. LAKE'S FOLLY (1) has been well fancied in most starts. He does get back but there should be enough pace to let him run home. ELUDING (3) has pretty decent Victorian form. Suspect he would enjoy it best on a track with some give. SELECTIONS: Easy to like Lombardo. Save on Lake's Folly.

BELMONT: RACE 8 @ 6:15PM (AEST)

Bruce Almighty might lead them from the inside, Resortman presses forward, Flying Roar can also race handy. Expect Showmanship to be in the first half. Showmanship (10) came off almost a year's break and produced a big finish to win easily here two weeks ago. Extra trip suits and drawn to race handier. Hard to beat. RESORTMAN (7) will be no pushover, he is unbeaten and looks very smart. Too good over this course second-up and a big threat. MOSCHARD (1) has been racing well and ran on nicely from well back last time. In the mix with MEGAZONE (2) who can improve and the consistent BRUCE ALMIGHTY (11). SELECTIONS: Showmanship to win.
