Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 30.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Gosford, Ballarat, Bundaberg & Mackay.
Ballarat: Race 9 @ 4:30pm
Smokin' Romans can lead the field from Starlover and Jeune Astre. SMOKIN' ROMANS (1) blitzed the Maidens here on debut at this trip racing on speed and couldn't have been more impressive. He draws low and can go right on with it for the sharp yard. ATONE (2) has just missed the last two on the Pakenham synthetic and was favourite the latest. He hasn't won for a long while but gets his chance today given a good ride from the claimer. LA BELVA (10) missed a lip here third-up finding her best. She settles back but can run on into the finish at a price. MALEVOLENT (5) also draws wide but is going well enough to fill a slot. SELECTIONS: #1 Smokin' Romans is in good hands and is promising.

Mackay: Race 2 @ 12:25pm
Getout Of My Neigh will cross the large field and is a likely leader. RUFFIN' IT (8) is back after a month for the new yard bringing strong relative form from Gatton and the Sunshine Coast. He gets the form hoop and has the speed to clear the tricky gate. He will win this if on song. DREAM LAD (7) raced at the Sunshine Coast on the heavy first-up and had no luck at all. He draws well and has been freshened and can make quick improvement. ANNMARIE (9) has been busting to win and gets a 3kg claimer for the first time. That brings her right into it. STEADY STAR (4) just missed here the latest at this trip, but this looks a stronger line-up. SELECTIONS: #8 Ruffin' It looks well-placed.
Gosford: Race 6 @ 3:10pm
A true middle-distance test likely with Crown Affair and Arabolini rolling forward. CROWN AFFAIR (1) comes here off the back of a very determined all-the-way win in heavy ground over a similar trip at Warwick Farm a couple of weeks ago. Has really found form in the last few runs and back in grade today is the one to beat again. DINADO (8) made it two in a row when she easily accounted for a Class 1 field over 1770m at Muswellbrook last start. Stepping up a level today but is a progressive filly who is open to further improvement. MISTY SUMMER (10) didn't quite run a strong 2400m recently when midfield at Warwick farm. Easy winner over this course and distance in a Class 1 the start before. Will be very competitive with a repeat of that effort. ARABOLINI (7) led all the way to salute over this distance at Wyong last start. Sure to give a great sight again. SELECTIONS: #1 Crown Affair brings superior form to the table - is well weighted and can win again.
Bundaberg: Race 5 @ 3:52pm
Crisscross and She's On Point will vie for early honours. GOSSIAUX (3) made it two wins from his last three starts when he raced handy and got home by half a length in a similar race to this six weeks ago. Ran the in-form Ten Taubada's to half a length here in open company the start before. Has the right form for a race like this. NINE CIGARS (1) gapped his rivals over 1090m here two runs back then was less effective on a heavy track at Warwick last time. In the mix dropping back in grade this afternoon. CRISSCROSS (6) continued his excellent recent form with a comfortable win in a Bm50 over this course and distance four weeks ago. Up in class today but cannot be underestimated. JOE ALBERT (5) is racing in great heart and is a solid each-way chance. SELECTIONS: At the odds available on race morning #3 Gossiaux is an excellent each-way bet.
