Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on July 2.

Racecourse : Hawkesbury. Picture: @hawkesburyrc

Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Hawkesbury, Murwillumbah, Cranbourne, Warwick & Northam.

Hawkesbury: Race 5 @ 3:20pm

Good speed engaged. CAPRI OF TUFFY (4) gets the nod. She's always had her fair share of ability but getting across the stripe in first has been an issue. Solid effort at Kembla Grange last start from the wide alley. Her city form earlier in the preparation reads well. Nash atop. No excuses. NISHKA (3) needs another win. Found the line well from back in the field at Wyong most recently. Since been freshened. Can settle closer from the inside alley and the bigger track should be too her liking.  LETTRE D'AMOUR (1) is always a chance in this grade. She races well here. PIELOCE (5) for the exotics. SELECTIONS: Capri Of Tuffy straight out.

Warwick: Race 2 @ 2:10pm

Algonquin Bay led on debut in Victoria and can make the speed with Miss Bulitz. MISS BULITZ (12) has had one blip in a string of strong runs and led beaten 1L at Dalby 12 days ago as favourite. Her form reads well for this and she is the one to beat sitting low in the weights. REFLECTIVE (4) placed at Ipswich second-up improving sharply at long odds. The former Victorian might not get back to her best, but won't have to improve much to go close. VERVE (3) missed a lip at Dalby and has disappointed the two runs since. He draws low and may be worth another chance. MORGAUSE (8) resumes and will race over further. He may be more forward this time around and fill a minor slot.  SELECTIONS: #12 Miss Bulitz has the form to be winning in this line-up.

Cranbourne: Race 6 @ 3:30pm

There's good early pace across the barriers with Brimm, So You Beauty and Unfair Dismissal candidates to lead. BOOMSTOCK (3) missed a lip here twice heavily-bet before a disappointing effort at Sandown in stronger than this. Prepared to forgive that and he can get the win today with a good ride from Kah pushing forward from the wide gate. SO YOU BEAUTY (9) is fast enough to clear the tricky gate and ran her best race leading and winning at Seymour this level. Gets the small claim and is a serious player. BRIMM (4) will runs along and was much better second-up. He peaks with plenty up the sleeve and the mile suits. JESSICA RAE (6) presents off the synthetic and a much improved effort. Draws well and would be a player finding her best. SELECTIONS: A good contest but #3 Boomstock gets his chance.

Murwillumbah: Race 5 @ 3:40pm

A number race on-pace and are capable of pushing on to lead. DREAMTIME MAGIC (2) improved sharply at Ballina winning this grade as favourite. She overcame trouble in that and drawn well can go right on with it for the in-form Dunn yard. TWERK (5) got close at Warwick in easier two weeks ago and three-back was just beaten at Ipswich in a CL1. Expect her to be right in the finish. FRENCH COMMAND (1) seeks the hat-trick in easier grade and the veteran has found a new lease on life. Like wet tracks and can go on with it with conditions to suit. QUKES (4) peaks off a comfortable Maiden win at Casino and the lightly-raced filly can build on that. SELECTIONS: #2 Dream Magic is in good hands and can go on with it now.
