CAULFIELD: RACE 5 @ 2:40PM

Expecting a strong pace with Rulership and Ranting taking up the running but others capable of trying their hand early. RULERSHIP (3) is smart. Resumes after a five months break. Finished off last campaign with a fourth in the G3 Kindergarten Stakes at Randwick when sent out favourite. Primed for return with a trial win. Impressed when fresh last time around and showed smart form around this course thereafter. Has good early speed and rates clear top. HYDRO STAR (6) settled back, looked very new, and yet still proved far too good on debut at Sandown-Hillside over 1000m. Clearly a nice talent and well worth a shot at a race like this. RANTING (5) raced twice in first campaign and although still a maiden wasn't far away and showed talent. Should be improved on first preparation and can be in the finish again fresh. LARIMER STREET (2) didn't make an impact in his last run before going for a spell in the G1 ATC Sires' Produce Stakes at Randwick but obviously a softer race here and has talent. SELECTIONS: Rulership can be too strong in a nice race for him fresh.

Caulfield Computer Card - August 15

RANDWICK: RACE 1 @ 11:55AM

Just a small field here where Vitesse should find the front comfortably at a moderate tempo. ALL SAINTS' EVE (3) displayed sharp improvement last time in and remains a big watch fresh for the John O'Shea stable. Has trialled very well in the lead up and will have no concerns with the wet track. They find JMac, she should take plenty of beating from the good draw. DANCING GIDGET (1) went awful last weekend, but she is clearly better than that and remains under strong notice on the quick back up. FREEHEARTED (2) won well at Rosehill last start and only looks to have to repeat that level of performance to be right in the finish again. VITESSE (6) should lead and stick on, next best. SELECTIONS: Very keen on All Saints' Eve.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 9 @ 4:28pm

Expecting a strong tempo with lots of early pressure but Redex and Archer's Paradox should find the front. ROCK BEAT (1) is a talented gelding with a fine strike rate. Ran on and got close fresh and is proven second up so can progress. Hasn't missed a place at the course or the distance. Strong chance. HOWWONDERFULLIFEIS (11) has enjoyed a successful campaign and is still racing well having boxed on when runner up last start. Expect her to be involved in the finish again. PIZONIE (8) races well fresh and won one of two recent trials. Contender. DREAM MASTER (2) was consistent last campaign and was readied with three trials. Keep safe. SELECTIONS: Rock Beat to atone for a narrow defeat first up.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 7 @ 4:11PM (AEST)

Probably won't be an overly fast Spring Stakes up front. BEHEMOTH (2) has excellent sprint form in the big league. He's been close in Goodwoods and starting back off at 1200m is a much better prospect. Coming off a strong trial as well. DALASAN (1) is clearly more a staying type now. He got to the Derby last campaign and was right there before run down by a top one. He can still sprint well fresh. KEMALPASA (3) won during the last Cup carnival but failed in between. He wants the wetter the better to be a good hope. MORE THAN EXCEED (4) loves this track. Brave at Swan Hill, he can't be left out now. EXTRA TIME (12) is the youngster who, if left alone, might give a big kick. SELECTIONS: Keen on Behemoth.

BELMONT: RACE 7 @ 5:45PM (AEST)

Not a lot of pressure here and Free Trade may take it up, Multiverse and Essential Spice can be handy. FREE TRADE (1) is an exciting type who would measure up in the east. Dominant winner of his two runs before a spell and trialling nicely. Clearly on top. FLOYD (4) was too strong late when scoring over 1000m first-up. Second-up form is solid and is some sort of threat. ESSENTIAL SPICE (3) is racing well and gave away weight when placed here two weeks ago. Always a chance. LOCKROY (2) and PYM'S ROYALE (8) are next best. SELECTIONS: Free Trade to win. Trifecta 1-2,3,4,8/2,3,4,8.
