Grafton: Race 4 @ 2.45pm

Expecting a solid tempo set up by Mini Me from the outside draw. GILLICK'S WAY (1) was handy all the way when runner-up over 1000m at Ballina last time out, finishing just 0.8 lengths from the winner. Has started favourite at all three runs this prep so plenty is expected of this lightly raced four-year-old. Cherry-ripe now and is poised to finally reward punters' patience. GOLD KING (2) raced on the speed on debut and finished off well for second over 1206m at this track. Improvement likely and shouldn't be a maiden long. LINE UP GIRLS (9) was probably a run short when easily accounted for over this distance at Taree recently. Goes well here and is ready to improve. FLICK (6) finished fifth when resuming last start over 1000m at Ballina, beaten 5 lengths. Likely to play a more prominent role with added fitness this afternoon. SELECTION: #1 Gillick's Way to win a shallow maiden.

Orange: Race 2 @ 12.40pm
Attuned expected to work to the lead and set a solid tempo. TEMPLE RUN (1) just missed twice as favourite in better than this before the plain effort at Hawkesbury and best to forgive. Gets the tongue tie first time and this is very winnable for the Sydney-trained gelding. ATTUNED (3) is fast and missed a lip from the front at Queanbeyan 13 days ago. Draws to control the race and is the danger. ROC DE KHAPER (4) can improve second-up and HIDDEN ACE (6) is better than the formline suggests and keep onside. SELECTION: #1 Temple Run finds the right race.

Ararat: Race 7 @ 4pm
Expecting Divine Honours to set a genuine tempo from wide out. UNDOUBTEDLY SO (8) missed a whisker in stronger than this and then didn't have the best of it in town the same grade. She peaks now with a 3kg claim and is a swimmer well-placed to be winning for a top yard. DIVINE HONOURS (5) led and just missed at Wangaratta in a return to form. He can push forward and control the race and keep well-onside. GARBO (3) rates well off the latest and likes it wet. On the 7-day return and the claim is handy is he's also in the mix. BLUNAKKA (1) peaks and has claims forgiving the latest. SELECTION: Hard to bet around #8 Undoubtedly So.
