Moe: Race 8 @ 5.20pm

From the wide draw Wild Cherry Road will set up a solid tempo. ZIAVERA (4) raced on the speed last time and was game in defeat when a close second over 1100m at Bendigo at the second run back from a break. Finished third in town in a Bm64 at the same stage last prep. Ready to win dropping back to a pretty shallow Bm58. WILD CHERRY ROAD (6) was in the top-three at the first three runs this prep but last start led and tired when fifth over 1000m at Moonee Valley. Has a high cruising speed and is going to take some running down in this grade around a tight circuit. NEVERSHOTTHEDEPUTY (7) broke through for her maiden success over 1006m at Yarra Valley last time, scoring by a neck at the first start in four months. Sits handy in the run and will be there at the business end. Hard to see the winner coming from outside this trio. MARCADA (13) might find this too sharp but could get home and fill a minor prize while fresh. SELECTION: Confident win bet on #4 Ziavera.

Queanbeyan: Race 1 @ 1.30pm
Namarari is likely to take up the running with Boxing at a good tempo. NAMARARI (4) was just nudged out twice on good tracks and then was plain at Canberra back to a sprint on the slow. Gets the blinkers again on a 6-day return and is well-placed to break through in this line-up. CALL ME ARTIE (11) peaks off the Dubbo placing and is on a 9-day return. He won't have to improve much to threaten. NO COLLUSION (5) had a few trials and will be better for the distant debut placing. He will use the low gate and can make quick improvement for the Sydney yard. BOXING (2) will be better second-up out in trip and has shown enough to say he can make the finish. SELECTION: A good betting card on a quirky track. Looking to get the money early with #4 Namarari, who looks set for a deserved Maiden win.

Lismore Race 2 @ 2.22pm

Super Slick is expected to work to the lead at a strong tempo. TARA JASMINE (3) gave up an early lead then came again to score convincingly on debut last start at Grafton over 1100m. Started favourite that day and three subsequent winners have come from the race so it is a very strong form reference. Promising filly who can take the next step today. ADELITA ROSE (5) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to get up for fourth over 1100m at Grafton. Useful mare who will improve off that run and from a better gate is expected to go very well. SUPER SLICK (4) led into the straight last start over 1100m at Grafton but could not sustain the pressure and dropped out. Led throughout to win over 1000m at Ballina on debut the run before. Has the pace to take a forward position and can improve sharply. FIRST SIGHT (6) finished last campaign with a placing over 1310m at this track and returns from an 11-week break. One of the each-way hopes. SELECTION: Backing the promising #3 Tara Jasmine to win.
