Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Ballina, Gosford, Geelong, Moonee Valley, Townsville & Esperance.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 1

SAFEEYA (7) looks well placed against this lot. Filled a place behind a highly promising galloper last time at Caulfield after maiden Cranbourne win. Should be hard to beat on that performance. YUKON (1) has good form credentials and was just run down after leading last time. Should be in this for a long way. SPY COLONEL (2) resumed with a useful effort at Werribee and is going to strip fitter this time around. Should be around the mark. USE YOUR VOICE (3) has been a little disappointing since debut Swan Hill victory, but is in good hands and looks an improver. Each-way threat. SELECTIONS: Back Safeeya.

BALLINA: RACE 1

KOONUNGA HILL (9) is ready to fire. He's been around the mark in some better races this campaign. Had to make a sustained run from the back at Ipswich last start when third to Sweet Gold. Looks hard to beat. HOGAN'S DARE (4) is a big threat. Both runs back from a spell have been terrific. Beaten by the draw at Murwillumbah last start. Improving all the time. Will be right there at the finish. VALLETTA KNIGHT (11) was a beaten favourite in a similar race last start. He's in the right hands and should be showing something shortly. PASSAGGIO (7) second-up should appreciate the rise in distance. SELECTIONS: Koonunga Hill in the opening event.

 ESPERANCE: RACE 2

ARSINOE (5) has won four of the last five and missed a whisker in that. Has been heavily-bet and keeps making rating spikes. Gets plenty of weight relief and is clearly the one to beat again. ABU DHABI (1) is fast and was tracking well before the latest. The 2kg claim remains handy and he gets another chance. BEVEL (6) came back to a sprint and wasn't beaten far behind Helms Gate. That has him well in the mix. HELMS GATE (2) has placed since that win and also has claims. SELECTIONS: Keen on Arsinoe.

GEELONG: RACE 6

AMERICAN FLYER (6) resumed at Sandown in stronger and put in an eye-catcher from the back. She has more to give and the longer trip suits. She may sit handier from the better gate and will be tough to beat with Stackhouse replacing the apprentice. QUAIL HOLLOW (1) will push forward and is ready to show his best. The blinkers go on first time and he should be right in the finish. THE MOOD I'M IN (4) hasn't won for a while but was threatening before the latest and can't be ruled out. GREAT AMBITION (9) would be a decent chance at best and will be better for the first up placing. SELECTIONS: Backing American Flyer to win.

GOSFORD: RACE 2

SONIC TYCOON (3) raced away from his rivals for an impressive win at Hawkesbury on debut. Market was there to say he would do something similar. He's open to plenty of improvement. Stable have taken their time with him and he can remain unbeaten in this contest. OLYMPIC GAZE (2) was a strong winner from last at Newcastle on resumption. He put the writing on the wall with some bold performances last campaign. Not sure Gosford is his track but he has a bright future. ALAKAHAN (1) bolted in at provincial level and then was immediately spelled. He's got Berry aboard for his first-up assignment and a market watch is advised. Would've liked to have seen him trial a shade better in his latest one. BUTCH'N'BUGS (4) straight out. SELECTIONS: Sonic Tycoon for the win.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 2

I DID IT AGAIN (1) has won his last four and both runs back. Is back after 27 days over a shorter sprint and clearly rates to take the next step. PERFECT KNOWLEDGE (4) brings good figures from the close-up placings in easier grade. Gets a low gate today and the big weight drop and keep very safe. EL SHADAY (2) made a ratings spike winning comfortably at Cairns from the front. He can make the finish again building on that. REVENIRE (3) has won and placed the last two this track and level and should get every chance to bounce. KENTUCKY FLYER (5) can't be ruled out either.SELECTIONS: Backing I Did It Again.
