Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB thoroughbred meetings on March 11.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Goulburn, Moree, Bunbury, Pakenham and Townsville.
GOULBURN: RACE 3 @ 3:05 PM
MYSTIC VEIN (4) has been a frustrating conveyance for connections finishing runner-up at his past four starts. Has placed at this track and distance and is the most experienced horse in the field. Can go one better here. VALIANT LAD (6) was a good trial winner late last year before finishing second in a recent Gosford trial. From a good stable and can feature on debut. BEL SUONO (7) has been getting better with every run and gets the services of McDougall. Must include. The well-related TOO MUCH LIPPY (9) has had six trials in preparation for this and is drawn well. Watch betting. BULLET FORCE (2) will be at peak fitness now.

SHAME WARNED (1) has been a wonderful money-spinner for connections with three wins and five placings from 15 career starts. Tuned up for this with two soft trials and has placed first-up before. Morgan has a great record in the irons with three wins and two placings from six steers. Looks a leading chance. SPARKLING FACET (6) has placed two from two at the journey and drawn to get a nice run for Looker. NOW OR NEVER (9) is a winner at the trip and has placed twice first-up. BULLET SPEED (2) is a Queensland metropolitan winner and can show up if he produces his best. MYSTIC SPLENDOUR (4) has placed first-up and gets 2kg off.

BUNBURY: RACE 1 @ 1:47 PM
TYPE WON (8) runs along and has been well-backed placing both starts. The nose defeat at Ascot was the best and fitter can take this out getting the handy 2kg claim. THE FIBONACCI (4) resumes and goes fresh. Owns a nice trial and has shown enough to say he will be very competitive. INVINCIBLE STRIKE (6) did enough on debut to say he has a future. Well-bred and gets the rail. OZZY BOY (2) was much better second-up at Pinjarra and can build on that. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Backing Type One.
PAKENHAM: RACE 5 @ 8:00 PM
RUBY STREET (3) has been really consistent over it's short career so far and, most of all, has a really good record here. After a good effort at Sandown, looks like a great chance in this. LIVVY LASS (6) was held up at a crucial stage last start here. Sticks to the mile and is a place chance at least. PELONOMENA (2) is a mixed bag of form but with experience might sneak a trifecta spot. SHE'S ON TIME (1) comes out of the same Sandown race as Ruby Street. This is more suitable but likely a first four combatant.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 4 @ 3:27 PM
BOLD EOS (6) is fast and was very plain at Rocky following the impressive 4.3L win here in the 72. Bounced after with a lip defeat this track in the CL5 running favourite again. Keeps the in-form Wiggins and will be hard to roll racing in a touch easier. LADY YENDOR (3) raced handy placing here as favourite in Open grade. She will use the rail and can be right in the finish. KINGS COUNTY (5) led them up and won the Open comfortably as month ago making a ratings spoke. A repeat would give him a decent hope. NICE RETORT (8) is fast and gets in light off the 58 win. Draws to advantage and isn't out of it.
