Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Pakenham, Albury, Terang and Pinjarra.

PAKENHAM: RACE 5 @ 8:00 PM

GRAND POPE (6) won his maiden here before stepping straight to stakes grade in town last time. Will find this much easier and should be tough to hold out. BE MISS LUCHY (8) has been a consistent performer of late and last couple of efforts here have been strong. Expected to feature prominently. TOORAK WARRIOR (2) didn't get into the hunt last time but previous efforts were solid and with the rise in trip should be around the mark. BLOOD SWEAT TEARS (5) is coming off a break but is in good hands and should be primed to run well fresh.
SELECTIONS: Back Grand Pope.

ALBURY: RACE 6 @ 4:35 PM

A good contest. BELL'S INNOCENT (9) is back after 11 days for the new yard and creates plenty of interest. Was outgraded at Echuca but was unluckily beaten 1.4L prior in a Moonee Valley 70. His racing style suggests the mile will be right up his alley and McDougall rides and he would have had choices. CHAMPAGNE VEGA (4) also draws out but brings excellent form to peak. Was just pipped in a Gosford 72 the latest and the improver is sure to go close. TAKISSACOD (8) runs along and will be fancied off the 1.3L Cowra Open win this trip. He keeps improving and this is also within his grasp. MUSWELLBROOK (5) placed as favourite behind the above at Cowra off solid city efforts. McDougall gets off but expect him to be right in the finish with average luck from the wide gate.
SELECTIONS: Going with Bell's Innocent on an each way basis.

TERANG: RACE 6 @ 4:00 PM

If winning form is good form then TREATZ (5) can make it two-in-a-row here. Sticks to a similar trip to the maiden win which was an improvement on the previous efforts. Can go on with it now. MARCHENA (8) stepped up to BM58 grade last start and placed. Finished only a length from the winner and has had more than a month between runs. Expect improvement. OCEAN DRIVE (10) has had excuses at recent outings but if they're able to run on and win by this stage of the day then has to be rated well. BEEJAY'S HERO (7) is at the right stage of the prep to go well. May find a few stronger but it worth including in exotics. GINGERSON (3) can fire fresh and needs to go in in case.
SELECTIONS: Treatz the win.

PINJARRA: RACE 6 @ 4:45 PM

BILLY AIN'T SILLY (1) has trialled well and wasn't beaten far resuming as favourite in better class. He has plenty up the sleeve and won his only second-up start at Belmont at better level. Fitter he makes strong appeal. SKYDANCE (3) was back to her best beaten a nose here against the above. Gets a soft run from the rail and is feared third-up. FIRE GODDESS (5) races handy and has more to give third-up She looks capable of making the finish. SHEZABUTOO (10) resumes and draws well. Hasn't won for a while but won't be far away if presented on song.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Billy Ain't Silly.
