Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Port Macquarie, Albury, Mildura and Albany.

PORT MACQUARIE: RACE 4 @ 2:50 PM

PMGLOWING RED (4) has been very good to start her career with a win and two placings from three starts in provincial company. Will strip fitter second-up from the spell and is from a very astute stable. The one to run down. TOOLS DOWN (2) has been in career-best form with two wins and a second from his past three starts. Gets 2kg off with the claim and is drawn perfectly in gate one. The main threat. SARAH ELIZABETH (1) tuned up for this with two easy trials and is a winner first-up before. In the mix. LOBBAN LEROY (8) has placed over this track and trip and will be rock-hard fit for this. OAKFIELD PRINCE (5) can't be ignored based on the dominant win on debut.
SELECTIONS: Glowing Red to win.

ALBURY: RACE 1 @ 1:20 PM

Looks a very winnable race for BRENLYN'S TROOPER (1). Was very good winning on debut before not being disgraced running second at Moonee Valley. Drawn perfectly in gate one and looks the best bet of the day. BALEDON (2) ran second over this track and trip on debut before winning at Wagga second time at the races. Looks the only danger. JUST MOONCOIN (4) finally broke through last start in first run for the new stable. Will take confidence from that and can earn a cheque. HIT'EM HARD (5) is a winner first-up and can be in the frame. JIMMYJOHN (7) has placed at this track and is best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Brenlyn's Trooper to win.

MILDURA: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM

MCCAIN (1) was close up last time when running fourth at Swan Hill. Meets an easier field here and expect a bold showing despite the weight. WAR GAMES (5) ran ninth last start at Werribee over 1110m when beaten 7 lengths. Finds the right race and is expected to prove tough to beat. TINY REBEL (4) ran eighth last time out at Gawler. Fitter and expected to do much better. GET IN THE BOWL (9) was among the placings last time when third at Port Augusta and will be fitter second up. Maiden at the trip but has placed ten times. END OF DAY (6) finished off strongly when beaten 1.5 lengths last time here. Worth including again.
SELECTIONS: Keen on McCain.

ALBANY: RACE 8 @ 4:39 PM

WEDNESDAY (13) ran fourth last start at Ascot over 1200m when beaten 4.5 lengths and had excuses. That was metro class and will appreciate the easier company here. Looks the one to beat. AMELIE ARGOT (1) finished off strongly when beaten one length last time here. Top challenger. KRISTELLA (5) won last start at this track and drops 2.5kg from last run. Back in confidence and can measure up again. CENSURE (8) has been in the market at her last couple of starts since resuming but hasn't made an impression, last start running seventh at Ascot. Can improve and worth including at odds. OXBRIDGE (2) makes plenty of appeal.
SELECTIONS: Like Wednesday back in grade.
