Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Canterbury, Sale, Bunbury and Launceston.

CANTERBURY: RACE 8 @ 5:00 PM

LOST AND RUNNING (3) looks to be a very talented individual. Has won all four starts by widening margins and has been placed to perfection by O'Shea. McDonald has been on board for the past two wins and sticks. No reason why he can't win again. MR MOSAIC (11) resumed in fine fashion with a solid win first-up and has placed over this track and trip. Gets 3kg off with the claim and can be in the mix. MARWAY (10) has won two from three since joining the new stable and can be in the mix again. ENCHANTED HEART (5) was very good last preparation and can earn a cheque first-up.
SELECTIONS: Lost And Running to win

SALE: RACE 7 @ 4:35 PM

COIN COLLECTOR (1) has been racing well in tougher grade than this of late in town. Ideally placed here and looks the testing material. GREEN IVY (2) raced handy to the speed and fought bravely to win at The Valley last time. Will be in this for a long way. CERNAN (4) will strip fitter for past couple of assignments. Extra ground won't pose a problem. Has winning claims on best figures. YOUNG HOSTESS (11) has performed solidly in two runs this campaign and is deserving of thought.
SELECTIONS: Back Coin Collector

BUNBURY: RACE 6 @ 4:54 PM

CHIEF ARCHER (2) goes really well at this track. Just needs to stay straighter when the pressure is on but in this field looks one of the better bets of the day. TREAT YO SELF (5) is likely to need the run but on ability can be in the finish. THE THUNDERESS (4) won last start despite being inconvenienced in the run. Wasn't bad and can follow-up today. LYLE'S CHOICE (1) is at the right stage of the prep to go well. Just needs to step away from the gates well and then can be thereabouts. OUR D'AMOUR (3) is going to need the run first-up but makes for a wider exotics chance if you're looking.
SELECTIONS: Chief Archer the win and a saver each-way on The Thunderess.

LAUNCESTON: RACE 5 @ 8:45 PM

JULIUS (3) resumed further improved when winning the 70 easily. He was then heavily-backed again missing 1L in the CL3. Reaches peak fitness and clearly rates to bounce back. SIRENE STRYKER (8) was backed off the map first-up winning the CL1 comfortably off a very long break. Has had a 45 day freshen and won't have to improve much to be a serious player. STEFANIDI (11) missed a lip first-up at Hobart running his best race. Keeps the form hoop and should go close. DATE NIGHT (1) resumes seeking the hat-trick and has trialled well. Draws to advantage with a handy 2kg claim and can make up the first-four.
SELECTIONS: Backing Julius to win.
