Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 08.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Cranbourne, Ipswich and Pinjarra.
CRANBOURNE: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM
SINGING SWORD (12) has not drawn the best but both runs this campaign have been full of merit. Looks well-placed in this grade and is expected to run well again. DANCE READY (3) is coming back from a break. Placed only try at this circuit so won't be too far off them. NO NEW TRICKS (16) is fitter for past couple of outings and won't be too far away at the business end. BE MISS LUCHY (9) followed up a Pakenham synthetic win with a solid effort here and must be given plenty of thought.
SELECTIONS: Back Singing Sword to win.

IPSWICH: RACE 9 @ 3:27 PM
GOLDSCHLAGER (7) peaks now and has been threatening. Raced favourite at Doomben the latest. Gets back but can come over the top of them. POSITIVE TENSION (5) led and won the Ballina Maiden by 5.5L. Uses the rail and is a chance to go on in stronger.THE WARDSMEN (12) has been around the mark and has trialled well since last seen. Will also need a good ride but gets his chance at a price. DIVINE ROCA (10) runs along and has won 2/3 this preparation. Keeps improving and can make the finish.
SELECTIONS: Going with Goldschlager.
PINJARRA: RACE 4 @ 1:34 PM
WISE CRACKER (9) found Poker Face too good resuming but covered the others and has more up the sleeve. Has placed 5/6 and this looks his to win. SPRINGSURE LAD (1) brings three near misses to resumption and was sharp in the recent Lark Hill trial. Draws out but a bold run is likely. WARLAGO (3) is quick and has shown enough to consider on resumption. Draws to advantage and the top hoop rides first time. SAO TOME (7) wasn't beat far here on debut and fitter will be around the mark.
