Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Ballarat, Albury, Sunshine Coast and Cairns.

BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM

KISSING GAME (3) seeks the hat-trick this track and trip after slow offs. It was comfortable the latest and she can improve again and come over the top of them reaching full fitness. DANCE DATE (4) was back to his best just beaten this track and had to do it hard. That stacks right up and she's a winning chance using the much better gate. SEDUCE (6) comes back plenty in grade and forgive the latest. Was beaten 1.5L two-back in a 70 at the mile on the Sandown-Hillside and that reads well. ISKRA (8) can control the race and led missing a nose on the Pakenham-synthetic. She will also strip fitter and will take passing on that effort.
SELECTIONS: With Kissing Game.

ALBURY: RACE 4 @ 2:20 PM

CLAPTONE (8) has switched yards and has been busting to win in northern NSW. Is back after 16 days and finds easier. Has the speed to manage the wide gate and McDougall's booking is a decent push for his chances. UNDERTHESPOTLIGHT (10) won this grade and then wasn't beaten far at Wagga. He's an improver with the 2kg claim on an 8-day return. O'REG (2) was tracking well before being out-graded at Bendigo. Draws low and is a player with a leading hoop reunited. LAST HOPE (4) resumes and goes well fresh. Presents in easier grade and is likely to sit more forward today. A hope if presented on-song.
SELECTIONS: Backing Claptone.

CAIRNS: RACE 3 @ 2:48 PM

TENNESSEE BOY (6) fought on strongly for a close third last start over 1400m at Townsville, making it two minor placings in a row. Yet to miss the frame in four starts at Cairns, including a win. Ready to break through. NOTIO (3) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on January 15, finishing fifth and beaten 4.2 lengths at Townsville. Sound record when resuming with a win and three placings from eight runs. Leading contender. BREAK MY STRIDE (5) led and held on well for third last start at Mackay over 1560m in soft going. Can run well again now that he has found some form. BATTLE CRY (4) disappointed last time over 1400m at Townsville, finishing ninth and beaten over 7 lengths. Has a strong record at this course, scoring at two of three visits. Worth considering.
SELECTIONS: Keen on #6 Tennessee Boy - back him to win.
