Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 4.

Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Muswellbrook, Gawler and Beaudesert.   

WARWICK FARM: RACE 5 @ 3:45 PM

The penny has dropped for the well-bred MA AND PA (6) who has looked very good in both wins this time in. Drawn to get the run of the race for Rawiller from gate one and will be nearing peak fitness now. Should be hard to stop. SO UNITED (2) has put in two good efforts this preparation and the stable is in a rich vein of form. Must be respected. VAN GOGH (4) was a solid winner over the mile last time out and looks a top-three contender on best form. THE GRINDER (3) strips fitter second-up and is one for the exotics.
SELECTIONS: Ma And Pa to win.

GAWLER: RACE 7 @ 4:15 PM

CHEVITE (1) has won four of nine starts here on his home track and was a drifter in betting behind Lucky Dog at Oakbank last time. He draws the inside and has Todd Pannell. SHOWUSYOURMOTOR (4) was racing well before a break and was placed behind Cool Magnum at Murray Bridge back in May. HE WILL BOOM (3) was OK behind All In War at Morphettville last time and races well here on his home track. CARTIER TIARA (6) has won three of nine starts here and comes off a good run when 2nd behind She's Estelle at Oakbank. GRAVITY (10) hasn't been far away and has been placed here five times.
SELECTIONS: Chevite to win again on his home deck.

BEAUDESERT: RACE 5 @ 3:41 PM

DAY PERFORMER (4) is a former NSW galloper having first run for new yard. Finished among the placegetters last start when second at Gosford over 1200m in soft going. Ready to win and expected to go close. POET'S GIRL (6) is coming off a maiden win at Gold Coast when first up and jockey Alannah Fancourt sticks. Can measure up again. THE RED ONE (3) has the blinkers added and will strip fitter. Chance off the inside. BOOM CHUGGA LUGGA (11) is next best.
SELECTIONS: Hard to go past Day Performer.
