Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Ballarat, Geraldton, Gatton, Queanbeyan and Hobart.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 7 @ 4:50 PM

GARMISH (7) was impressive winning at Wyong first-up and looks set for a quality preparation. Drawn to get a soft run from the inside gate and Clark was in the irons for that last-start victory and sticks. Expected to measure right up. CAESARS PALACE (1) has placed at this track and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Goes well for A Collett who has two wins and a placing from four steers and looms as the main danger. The well-related LONG WEEKEND (5) has been thereabouts in all three runs this time in and is a must for the multiples. SAGRADO (8) has been in the top five at his past seven outings and can earn some minor money. SHAKA ROCK (2) is from an underrated barn and can fill the frame.
SELECTIONS: Garmish to win.

BALLARAT: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM

GROOVY KINDA LOVE (3) turned in a eye-catching run when resuming at Mornington. Is going to appreciate the slight rise in trip and cannot be left out of calculations. CAPELLA (12) ploughed through the heavy conditions to win well at Moe. Now that she has tasted success she maybe able to go on with it here. PANKHURST (9) followed up a solid debut win at Casterton with a good performance at Geelong. May like it a bit further but won't be too far away.
SELECTIONS: Have to be with Groovy Kinda Love straight out.

GATTON: RACE 1 @ 12:52 PM
BETTER RUSH (2) won twice comfortably and then went to Doomben and was beaten 2.7L in stronger class. She will ride the speed from the rail and can bounce back at this level. BETTER BE BETTER (1) resumes and has won 2/3 fresh. Has the handy 2kg claim and rates to go close. BIT OF A BEAUTY (3) reaches peak fitness and has switched barns. Races handy and is going well enough to consider. GLOBAL VENTURE (4) resumes and is good enough to make the board.
SELECTIONS: Backing Better Rush.

QUEANBEYAN: RACE 6 @ 5:10 PM

WASHINGTON TOWERS (1) reaches peak fitness and is the one to beat off a much stronger race at Rosehill. Improved again missing a whisker here prior in the 75 and Budler's 1.5kg claim assists. Races handy and will take passing. GIRLS ARE READY (4) resumes for the leading local barn. Goes fresh and has won 3/5 this trip. Draws handy and the betting will reflect her readiness. HEZREDHOT (6) reaches peak fitness and is tracking well. Has more to give off the Goulburn placings and drops 2.5kg. Keeps Cahill and is a player. MR KYLIN (3) has come up favourite off the 58 win at Leeton. Uses the rail and keeps a leading hoop. Gets the weight dip and has to be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Backing Washington Towers to win.
