Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Rosehill, Flemington, Ascot, Dubbo and Morphettville.

ROSEHILL: RACE 6 @ 4:10 PM

MASKED CRUSADER (2) only went down narrowly in the Everest last start and looks very well placed to go one better stepping up to 1300m. Just needs to keep in touch early and he should be able to round them up. EDUARDO (1) has to be a slight niggle at the trip but he is one of the best sprinters in the land and he has to be respected regardless. BIG PARADE (10) faces his first real acid test this time in having won three of his last four. Gets his chance at the weights and shouldn't be far away. LOST AND RUNNING (13) was very game in the Everest last start, just faces a tough ask from the draw.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Masked Crusader.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 4 @ 2:20 PM

OXLEY ROAD (7) is the emerging talent in the race. Best effort to date when winning the Caulfield Sprint last time. Best form to date has come with the edge off the track. Think he will get that here with the little bit of rain around in the lead up and tipping he goes right on with that big peak last time. KEMALPASA (2) has won this race the last two years and his form this time around says that he is ready to make a big go at winning it for a third time. Just as good this spring as he has ever been. The mares, INSTANT CELEBRITY (3) and BROOKLYN HUSTLE (4), have had excuses in recent runs and both are capable of better now.
SELECTIONS: Oxley Road is the one going places.

ASCOT: RACE 6 @ 2:34 PM

SAVANIK (5) has turned the corner this time in winning three of four outings. Parnham has been in the saddle for all those victories and sticks. Drawn to get a cosy run from gate two and can be right in the finish. OUTBACK JACK (1) has a handy record here with a win and three placings from five starts and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Right in this. REAL PASSION (7) is a winner here and will be near her peak fourth-up. In the mix. SECRET PEARL (2) improved sharply last time out and gets 2kg weight relief. One for the multiples. JARMAN (4) is rarely far away and can fill the frame.
SELECTIONS: Savanik to win.

DUBBO: RACE 2 @ 2:14 PM

CTHONIA (2) looks the best bet on the program. She is a hardened country stayer in sublime form. She won this distance and grade two starts back, which was followed by a good 2nd placing last time out. From the good draw and with Pracey-Holmes (20:3-4) in the saddle, she looks very hard to beat. CLUB TOWN (4) finished second to the top pick two starts back when flashing late. He is a tough gelding that does his best work late and he should be flying home into the placings in this race. BANDAHARA (3) stepped up to a similar distance last start and finished with a solid finishing 3rd. He will strip fitter for the run and could be the improver in the race. FIVEASH (5) won in this grade over a mile last start. The distance (2:0-0) is a query for her. THE BROWZER (7) is your likely leader and he can run the distance. He will take some running down if he gets a soft run in front.
SELECTIONS: Cthonia to win.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 5 @ 2:45 PM

SIDEARM (4) is a former NSW galloper first-up for Will Clarken. He's been in the money at six of 13 starts, has trialled well and should take some beating. LOHN RANGER (1) has been racing well and should get every chance form a good barrier with the help of a claim. MAGIC DEE (9) has been placed at three f four first-up runs and was a winner on the Parks back in March. She has two trials under her belt but draws wide. ASTON RAPOVA (5) made ground last time and must be respected in this type of race. AKKACAN (8) always runs well without winning out of turn and can figure.
SELECTIONS: Sidearm to score first-up in SA.
